Organizing

Over the past two weeks I’ve looked through nine different external hard drives in an attempt to organize the massive amount of digital files, film scans, and polaroid scans into something searchable and categorized. I still have a lot images to review, but at least I’ve gotten some of my favorite shots up on this new site.

The side effect of looking through twenty+ years of photos includes a bit of nostalgia, a bit of embarrassment (ok a lot), and a bit of sadness. I had a lot of dreams related to various creative outlets that have since shifted. No longer am I trying to pursue a side hustle of photography in the hopes of it becoming my full time job. I take photos for the love of taking photos and capturing a feeling. I only occasionally say yes to a paid gig. I expanded my medium format camera collection and now have two Rolleiflex TLRs and one Hasselblad 501CW. The process of shooting and developing film is one of my favorite things to do.

Some photos are too painful to look at for very long. I’ll have to go back to those when my heart doesn’t hurt so much to remember.

I’m looking forward to putting effort into keeping this updated and sharing life in images here. Thanks for dropping by.
